FAQs

What kind of packaging will my products be shipped in?

We work extremely hard to ensure that all our packaging is plastic free. We are absolutely committed to reducing plastic and micro plastic waste, and reflect this in all our packaging.

How does the Eden Reforestation and tree planting scheme work?

For every marked item on site sold, ecoLiving will donate 1 tree to the Eden Reforestation Scheme. Eligible items include our cotton buds, toothbrushes, straws, floss, and toothpaste tablets. Every donation not only provides a tree for planting but also supports employment in the areas in which the Eden Reforestation Projects work. This is because Eden employs locals to plant the trees, thus supporting the local economy as well as the reforestation effort.

What areas do the Eden Reforestation Projects cover?

The Eden Reforestation Projects currently operates in Nepal, Madagascar, Haiti, Indonesia, and Mozambique.

What is 1% for the Planet?

1% for the Planet is an organisation who work with many businesses, with the idea being that companies donate 1% of annual sales through a membership scheme. This money is distributed to approved environmentally focused non-profit organisations. One Percent for the Planet is committed to helping companies support the environment by taking away the uncertainty of companies knowing where best to focus their philanthropic efforts.

How do you know the money goes to the best place(s)?

Companies and businesses such as ecoLiving donate directly to organisations from the One Percent for the Planet approved non-profit list. This means that at ecoLiving we can choose exactly where we send our donations, with One Percent for the Planet providing expert advice.

Do I need to have a business to donate to One Percent for the Planet?

No, not at all! One Percent for the Planet is a registered non-profit. Anyone can donate directly to their organisation, or to any of their approved non-profits. For more information on how to donate, visit their site here. Don’t forget that every purchase you make through ecoLiving will increase the amount that we personally donate, too!

Is ecoLiving an environmentally friendly company?

Absolutely yes! Our entire operation is carbon neutral, meaning we have a net zero carbon footprint. Put simply, we offset any carbon footprint we have by working with Carbon Footprint to fund organisations which work to remove carbon from the atmosphere. We also contribute to the removal of carbon emissions through our partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects. The ecoLiving offices are run entirely on renewable energy sources, and we drive electric cars. At ecoLiving, we are committed to operating consciously and sustainably in every possible we can.
